MUSIC THEORY CLASSES
The journey to Grade 5 Theory starts right here.

WHY TAKE THEORY CLASSES?
Music Theory covers the essential building blocks of music. It allows musicians the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of music and how all the elements work together.
Music Theory Grade 5 is particularly useful if learning to play a musical instrument, or, if you are thinking down the line of taking a music GCSE or A-Level.
It is essential that you achieve Grade 5 Theory before taking a Grade 6, 7 or 8 instrumental grade. This is to make sure that you have the understanding you need to interpret and perform music at these higher grades.
Achieving your Grade 5 Theory exam before GCSE level will be a big weight off your mind and give you the tools needed to help you through your higher level education.

ABOUT OUR CLASSES
Music Theory exams are open to learners from Year 3 upwards (aged 7+). Our entry level course begins with Grade 1 theory and you will work your way up to Grade 5. We will work with you to tailor your theory journey. For example, we can work through each grade but not necessarily take each exam. Exams are costly and we will offer our best advice to support you in achieving the best outcome in your musical development.
Our courses are led by our most experienced and qualified teaching staff and sessions are carefully curated. The teachers will guide you through the course and provide you with practise tests to complete to help assess your progress and readiness for the real thing.

EXPECTATIONS
To take part in our courses, you will need to be punctual and come to your weekly classes. You will need to bring a pencil, ruler and rubber along with your grade theory book (which will be provided as part of your booking and is included in the cost). You will need to complete small exercises and activities between sessions to give you the best chance of progressing towards your next exam in good time. Most of all, you will make new friendships and learn in a fun and engaging environment with our team!
